(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington woman says winning $1 million from the Hoosier Lottery literally caught her off balance.
Pamela Hoffman says ,"I was sitting on my porch with my dog (when I scratched my ticket) and I first thought I won $1,000. I looked a little closer and nearly fell out of my chair."
Hoffman says she intends to use the money to pursue a master's degree, either an MBA or master's of human resources.
Hoffman purchased her winning ticket at Circle S Food Mart at 4200 S. R. 46 West in Bloomington. She and her husband Ryan claimed her ticket at Hoosier Lottery HQ in Indianapolis last Friday.
She was the first player to claim a $1 million prize on the new $120 Million Cash Spectacular scratch-off game. Seven more $1 million winners are still out there, along with 71 prizes of $25,000.
