(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington and Monroe County postpones Halloween hours to Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., due to the prediction of severe weather moving through the area on Halloween night.
"I realize the inconvenience this will undoubtedly cause for some people, but our kids' safety has to come first," said Mayor Mark Kruzan in an e-mail. "I ask that people be patient with the fact some Trick-or-Treaters may still show up at your doorstep on Halloween Night and that everyone please drive even more slowly than usual in our neighborhoods on Friday evening."
