Bedford Man Denied Appeal

Last updated on Tuesday, October 29, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Indiana Court of Appeals and the Indiana Supreme Court both refused to consider an appeal for a Bedford man convicted of sexual assault.

40-year-old Truong "Kevin" Vu was convicted in March 2012 on four felony charges of sexual deviate conduct, sexual battery and two counts of criminal confinement. He is serving a seven-and-a half year jail sentence in the New Castle Correctional Facility. With his good time credit he could be released on May 31, 2015.

Two salon clients testified that Vu had made unwanted sexual advances toward them at his east-side business, called Pink Nails. One woman testified that Vu sexually assaulted her on a massage table but she broke away and fled the store. A second woman claimed that Vun started to massage her and would not let her leave the salon and kissed her before she was able to flee.

In July the court of appeals denied his request to review his case and on Friday the state supreme court turned down his request for a review of his case.

The appeals court denied his request for review in July, and the state supreme court on Friday turned down his request for a review from the state's highest court.
