Bedford Library Celebrates Teen Read Week Oct. 13-19

Last updated on Friday, October 4, 2013

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Public Library will celebrate Teen Read Week from Oct. 13-19 with displays, bookmarks and activities to encourage teens in Lawrence County to read for the fun of it.

Thousands of libraries, schools and bookstores across the country will host events centered on this year's theme, "Seek the Unknown @ your library," which dares teens to read for the fun of it.

TumbleBooks

The library provides TumbleBook Library, an online collection of animated talking picture books that promote the joy of reading in a style that children love.

TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce electronic picture books which children can read themselves or which TumbleBooks can read to the children.

The TumbleBook Library collection can be accessed online through a direct link from the children services page at www.bedlib.org.
