Woman Wards Off Would-Be Abductor

(BLOOMINGTON) - When a man tried to abduct a 20-year-old woman Bloomington early Saturday morning, he got a foot to the face.

According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Dana Cole, the woman was walking near East Eighth and North Lincoln Street around 1 a.m. when a dark-colored SUV with three men pulled up beside her.

One of the men got out of the back seat and grabbed her arm and attempted to drag her to the vehicle.

The woman, who is trained in Kung-Fu, kicked the man in the face. He then got back into the vehicle and the vehicle drove away.

Cole says the woman was not injured in the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Bloomington Police.
