Three Suffer Minor Injuries In Crash

(LEESVILLE) - Three people suffered minor injures after their vehicles collided on Middle Leesville Road near Standish Steel Road Thursday at 6:44 p.m.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 53-year-old Kelly Spencer, of 2391 Middle Leesville Rd., was traveling east on Middle Leesville Road when a 2004 Pontiac Montana driven by 59-year-old Demona Gates, of Norman, crossed the center line.

Spencer tried to avoid the collision by pulling to the side of the road and coming almost to a stop.

Gates' vehicle hit the front of Spencer's 2010 Toyota Prius.

Spencer complained of body pain.

Gates and her passenger 56-year-old Rebecca Jones, of 7318 Leatherwood Rd., both complained of neck pain.

Assisting at the scene were an IU Health Hospital ambulance crew and Gurthrie Volunteer Fire Department first responders.
