Passenger On Motorcycle Thrown From Vehicle

(GREENE CO.) - A passenger on a motorcycle was hospitalized Monday night when the driver lost control of his cycle on State Road 54, near an Interstate 69 construction area in eastern Greene County.

The Greene County Daily World reports, Cynthia Webster, 47, of Sullivan was a passenger on a 2002 Harley Davidson operated by her husband, 56 year-old Randy Webster, also of Sullivan.

The cycle was west bound on State Road 54 and traveled past 'road closed' signs and barricades, which had been blown over by weekend storms, according to a report filed by Greene County Sheriff's Department Deputy Jeffrey Brown.

Once past the barricades, Randy Webster laid down the motorcycle while attempting to stop ---- ejecting Cynthia Webster. She sustained head injuries and was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for treatment, Brown wrote in the report.

Assisting at the scene was GCSD Deputy J. Gooding, Center Township Fire Department, Owensburg Fire Department and Greene County Ambulance Service.
