(SPRINGVILLE) - A man suffered neck pain after the vehicle he was riding in hit a guard rail on Ind. 58 Friday afternoon.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, officers were notified about the crash after emergency workers at IU Health Hospital contracted police reporting they were treating an accident victim.

50-year-old Shari Webb, of 810 Smith Ave., in Oolitic, told police she was traveling on Ind. 58 when the front tire of her 1994 Geo Metro blew.

Webb told police she lost control of the car and then hit a guard rail.

Webb was not injured, but her passenger 24-year-old Tyler Webb complained of neck pain.

Shair Webb told police she was able to drive the vehicle to the hospital so Tyler could get treatment.
