(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after a woman reported she was injured and feared for her life.
The Lawrence County Police Department received a 911 call 3:40 p.m. from a woman in the 100 block of Sportsman Gun Club Road reporting she had been injured during a domestic fight and now feared for her life.
Sheriff Sam Craig says police went to the home and arrested 72-year-old Charles Brim on charges of battery resulting in injury and interfering with a 911 call.
Police found the woman walking from the home after she says Brim would not let her call police for help.
The woman told police Brim had slapped her in the face and choked her. Officers says the woman did have marks and an injury to her arm and elbow.
The woman was treated at the scene.
