(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after a pizza delivery drive reported a domestic fight in the 1300 block of R Street Sunday night.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley when officers arrived at the home they found a woman with a cut on the bridge of her nose and a cut to her knee.

The woman told police that her children were involved in a sibling squabble and that is when 39-year-old Jeffrey Corum got involved in the children's dispute and she intervened.

The woman told police she wasn't sure how she was injured during the confrontation, but that Corum was intoxicated and had left the home.

Parsley says police found Corum walking in the 1200 block of S Street and stopped him.

Parsley says, Corum was arrested without incident on charges of battery in the presence of a minor under the age of 16 and public intoxication.
