(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Museum has unveiled its 2014 “Stained Glass Artistry of Bedford, Indiana” calendar and announced plans for a tour of stained glass windows on Sept. 22 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Those attending the tour need to meet at the museum on 15th Street.
The eight featured churches are First United Methodist Church, First Christian Church, First Presbyterian Church, St. John's Episcopal Church, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Calvary Lutheran Church, Faith Mission Church and Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
The calendar, photographed by Carol Highhouse and Jean Kozak, features eight Bedford churches, many of them were the first churches established in the city and are located near the heart of downtown and are available for $12 in the museum gift shop.
The museum plans to feature f Mitchell churches in a calendar in 2014 and county churches in 2015
