(CELESTINE) - Celestine and Saint Anthony firefighters were called out Friday to battle at least five fires burning along ditch lines and into fields along Schnellville Road.
The Dubois County Sheriff's Office was advised the fires may have been started by someone pulling or hauling a grill and that the person responsible probably wasn't aware burning embers from the grill had touched off the fires.
The Dubois County Sheriff's Office reminds the public that fields are extremely dry right now and that carelessness can quickly touch off fires than can spread out of control.
