Clean Sweep Continues In Bedford Through Sept. 30

(BEDFORD) - The city of Bedford and the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for a variety of "Clean Sweep Week" activities that will continue through Sept. 30.

The Bedford Sanitation Department will pick up residential items such as old tires, appliances, construction materials, carpet and other items that normally will not be collected.

Extra household trash will also be collected.

City residents must call 279-9222 for pickup.

The chamber also invites volunteers to clean up streets and neighborhoods. Call the chamber at 275-4493 to sign up.
