(BLOOMFIELD) - A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of five Bloomfield residents who are accused of dealing or possessing synthetic drugs.
All five bonded out of jail and were scheduled to appear in court Friday or today for initial hearings.
The Greene County Daily World reports, 33-year-old Raul Sepulveda, Jr., 30-year-old Christie Rupp, 27-year-old Joseph Sauer, 28-year-old Amanda Carter and 50-year-old Robin Bowersock were arrested.
Bowersock was driving a blue Ford Ranger pickup truck when she was stopped at South Seminary and South streets around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 28.
While the officer was checking on her information, another officer found three hand-rolled cigarettes on the ground a few feet from Bowersock's vehicle.
She admitted that she had just smoked a joint of synthetic marijuana with Rupp, Sauer and Carter at a Rupp's home and that Sepulveda had purchased the drug from Rupp for $20.
She also told police that Rupp was running low on supplies so was selling the joints and that she had went to Rupp's and Sepulveda's home several times to purchase the drug.
Bowersock was arrested and police obtained a search warrant for a home at 46 Nancy Avenue in Bloomfield.
There police found the drug, "Joker, iBlown, Edge and WTF.
Rupp, Sauer Carter and Sepulveda were at the home when police arrived and all four were arrested.
Sepulveda bonded out for $500 cash and appeared in Greene Circuit Court Friday and was charged with dealing in a synthetic drug and maintaining a common nuisance.
Rupp bonded out for $800 cash and is scheduled to appear in court today to be charged with dealing in a synthetic drug and maintaining a common nuisance.
Sauer and Carter both bonded out for $50 cash and are due in Greene Superior Court this afternoon to be charged with possession of a synthetic drug, and visiting a common nuisance.
Bowersock bonded out for $100 cash. She's due to appear in court this afternoon to be charged with possession of a synthetic drug.
