(BLOOMFIELD) - 26-year-old Jared Kugler of Linton is accused of making threatening phone calls from the Greene County Jail to a woman he's not supposed to contact at all.

Kugler was in jail with more than one criminal case pending against him when a new warrant was issued last week for his arrest.

When Kugler appeared in Greene County Superior Court he was charged with invasion of privacy in violation of a protective order.

Kugler had purchased a Securus phone card from jail personnel and placed a call to the woman on August 20th.

The conversation was recorded. Kugler told the woman to get ready, he was going to crush her when he got get out, and that she "was done." Phone records show Kugler called the woman more than 20 times in August.

The same day the new case was filed, Kugler also appeared on another case - he was convicted of battery committed by means of a deadly weapon or that resulted in a serious bodily injury, a class C felony, and sentenced to four years with credit for 80 days in jail at the time of sentencing. He will be serving the time on work release.

According to court records, Kugler has another court date next week in Knox County on a pending case involving misdemeanor battery, public intoxication, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
