Bedford Woman Complains Of Pain After Crashing Into Retaining Wall

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman suffered from pain after she crashed her vehicle Wednesday afternoon on Peerless Road.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, when officers arrived at the scene at 3:33 p.m. they found 23-year-old Brooke Miller's 2003 Honda Element off the east side of the road on a retaining wall.

Miller told police that a tractor-trailer was traveling in the opposite direction and was across the center line and that forced her to swerve and that is when she hit the retaining wall.

Miller told police she could not describe the semi or tell officers who owned the truck that drove away after the crash.

Miller complained of stomach pain and was treated at the scene.

Responding to the accident was the Oolitic and Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department first responders, Bedford Fire Department extrication, and an IU Health Hospital ambulance crew.
