(JUDAH) - A Bedford man died after he crashed his 2001 Ford Ranger on Hayes Road near Logan Bottom Road Sunday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, medical crews were working on 23-year-old David Verbocht, of 1692 Guthrie Rd., when police arrived on the scene.
According to police, Verbocht was traveling north on Hayes Road when for some unknown reason his vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree. The vehicle flipped on its top.
Verbocht was wearing a seatbelt but died from his injuries.
Results of a blood-alcohol test are pending.
An IU Health Hospital ambulance and Marshall VFD responded and an Life Line Helicopter was dispatched to the scene.
