(BLOOMINGTON) - A 22-year-old Bloomington woman reported she was sexually assaulted in her downtown apartment by a male she knew.
According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Ian Lovan, police received a call at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, from IU Health Bloomington Hospital reporting a woman was being treated in the emergency room after a sexual assault.
The woman told police she had been to a tailgate party at the IU-Missouri football game and had returned home and went to bed around 9:30 p.m.
She awoke to find a man on top of her. She told police she screamed and the man left the apartment.
Police say no arrest has been made and the case remains under investigation.
