Last updated on Friday, August 30, 2013

(SPRINGVILLE) - A Springville man suffered minor injuries after he crashed his truck into another truck Thursday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 51-year-old James Gipson, of 1420 Popcorn Rd., was traveling north on Popcorn Road in his 1985 Chevrolet truck when he took his eyes off the road to look for something.

Gipson veered across the center line and collided with a 1996 Ford F-150 driven by 67-year-old Herbert Phillips, of 1732 Popcorn Rd.

Gipson was not injured, but Phillips suffered minor bleeding to left arm and hand and bruising to his right hand. He refused medical treatment.

A neighbor with a tractor pulled both of the men's trucks home.
