(MITCHELL) - Two people were hurt after the driver says another vehicle ran her off the road Saturday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report the accident happened at 9:46 a.m. on VFW and DNR roads.

Police say Destinee Sons, of Mitchell was on VFW Road when she met another vehicle on her side of the road. Sons told police she swerved to miss the dark truck and lost control of her 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. The vehicle went off the right side of the road then back left of center.

Police say Sons overcorrected the vehicle causing it to slide sideways and then flip on its side.

Sons suffered elbow and arm pain. Her passenger 17-year-old Eleesha Terry , of 2475 Fatyetteville Rd., complained of chest pain.
