(MITCHELL) - The Persimmon Festival is just around the corner and Parade Chairman Gary Rayhill is looking for parade entries. Entries are due by September 1.
This year's Persimmon Festival parade will feature the 113th Army Band, "The Dragoons," of Fort Knox, Ky., the Southshore Drill Team and the New Generation Fancy Drill Team and five high school bands.
Entry forms can be picked up at Ben Franklin/ACE Hardware or Gasoline Alley in Mitchell. They can be downloaded from the website, www.persimmonfestival.org, or obtained by calling Rayhill at 797-0427.
Completed forms can be mailed to: 1844 State Road 60 East, Mitchell, IN 47446.
The parade will be at 2 p.m. on Sept. 28.
