(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police have yet to file charges in a weekend Seminary Park stabbing.

According to Bloomington Lt. John Kovach, police are still investigating the stabbing in Seminary Park which happened Saturday.

Kovach says they are sorting through conflicting accounts of the knife assault, which led to one man being taken to the hospital after he suffered a knife wound to his left side.

According to police, the fight started at Peoples Park and then continued at Seminary Park Saturday afternoon.

Police found one man who had the knife in his possession, at the intersection of Second and Walnut streets, and took him to the police station for questioning.

Officers cleared Seminary Park of an estimated 50 to 60 people, and placed crime scene tape around the perimeter of the park.

Detectives were called to investigate the scene, as eight officers scoured the park for evidence and spoke to witnesses.
