(SPRINGVILLE) - Lawrence County Police officers located a missing Springville man Tuesday night.
According to the police log, the department received a call at 6:12 p.m. from Jessie Jones' son reporting his father had been walking in the woods near Springville and was lost.
Jones told his son he was suffering from shortness of breath and was going to lay down in the woods and rest and didn't think he could find his way out.
Officers used GPS tracking to trace Jones' cell phone and located him in the 2500 block of Spencer Pike Road.
Jones was checked out by emergency medical personnel and went home with family members.
