McCormick's Creek State Park Hosts 'Wild About Wildlife'

Last updated on Thursday, August 1, 2013

(SPENCER) - McCormick’s Creek State Park is partnering with WildCare Inc. again this year to present the 13th annual Wild about Wildlife event on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the park’s nature center.

Representatives from WildCare Inc. and park naturalists will introduce visitors to several different live animals which, due to injuries, are now animal ambassadors for public programs. Scheduled programs will be at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Specific animals to be featured will be determined just prior to the event but will include live birds of prey and reptiles.

All programs are free after paying regular park entrance fees of $5 per in-state and $7 per out-of-state vehicle.

For more information about this event, call (812) 829-4344.

McCormick's Creek State Park (stateparks.IN.gov/2978.htm) is at 250 McCormick's Creek Park Road, Spencer, 47460.
