(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was injured after he crashed his scooter on Ind. 37 near Wesley Chapel Road Wednesday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 21-year-old Carl Reynolds, of Mitchell, was traveling south on Ind. 37 when he hit something in the roadway wrecking the scooter.
Reynolds was thrown from the 2011 VIP Future Champion.
Reynolds was taken to IU Health Hospital after suffering injuries to his knees, legs and hip. He was treated and then released.
Police searched the area for what Reynolds might have hit and found a 6x6 post about 12 to 14 inches long. Police say the wood did have some blue paint transfer and that was the same color of the scooter.
