Man Seriously Injured After Crashing Tractor

(BEDFORD) - Lawrence County Police are investigating an accident that left one farmer seriously injured Wednesday morning.

According to Sheriff Sam Craig the accident was called in at 11:38 a.m. in the 800 block of Ozzee Farm Road. An accident report should be available later today.

"A farmer was alone racking hay when he called an employee who had left for lunch and told him to call 911 he needed help," Craig says. "His tractor had went over a hill and through a couple of fences, across the road and hit a vehicle."

Craig says the man was taken by helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.
