(BEDFORD) - 30-year-old Michael Parsley was arrested after a Lawrence County police officer stopped him after he spotted him driving at the intersection of N and 4th streets Friday.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig, the officer knew Parsley did not have a driver's license when he stopped him.

Parsley, who listed his address as homeless, was charged with being a habitual traffic violator for life, possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture meth and possession of a hypodermic needle and syringe.

Craig says after determining Parsley did not have a driver's license the vehicle he was driving had to be towed.

"Standard procedure is to inventory the contents of the vehicle," Craig says. "That is when officers discovered several components used in the making of meth and the hypodermic needle and syringe."
