Daviess & Greene Co. Residents Saved Thousands On Prescriptions

(UNDATED) - Daviess County taxpayers saved more than $2 thousand this past June through the National Association of Counties Prescription Discount Card Program.

Residents used the discount drug card to fill more than 200 prescriptions.

Daviess County residents saved an average of $9.33 per prescription in June.

The County has saved more than $420,000 since it joined the program in 2008, and residents have used the drug card for savings on more than 43,000 prescriptions.

Lawrence County does not participate in the service according to NACo's website.

Greene County taxpayers saved more than $75 in June through the NACo Prescription Discount Card Program.

Residents used the discount drug card to fill nearly 10 prescriptions.

Greene County residents saved an average of $9.82 per prescription in June.

The county has saved more than $1,500 since it joined the program in 2012, and residents have used the drug card for savings on more than 190 prescriptions.

Daviess and Greene Counties are two of more than 1,400 counties nationwide participating in the program.
