(BROWNSTOWN) - Brownstown council hopes to soon appoint members to new planning and zoning boards that would oversee Brownstown's newest department.

Councilmen forged ahead with a plan to create a planning and zoning office and regulations during a meeting Monday night at Town Hall.

The next step in the process of establishing something the town hasn't had in its 197 years of existence will involve a meeting with the five councilmen and town attorney Joe Markel.
