Bedford All Stars Going To Junior League World Series

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford All Stars are going to Junior League World Series!

They defeated Kentucky 6-3 on Thursday night.

They will now advance to the Junior League World Series, which will begin this Sunday in Taylor, Michigan.

The Bedford 13 & 14-year old Junior League Bedford All-Stars defeated Iowa, 11-3, in Thursday's semifinals of the 2013 Indiana Little League Junior League Central Regional at Fort Wayne to advance to Thursday night's championship game against Kentucky at 6 p.m.

Here are some of the highlights of the Iowa game provided by Super Oldies' Steve Gillespie, who was covering the games live in Fort Wayne on Thursday.

In the first inning, Frank Sawhill hits a solo home run for Iowa.

In the fourth inning, Brody Tanksley hits a 2 run double with 2 outs and bases loaded for Bedford.

In the sixth inning, Bedford scores twice on back to back wild pitches.

Stats: Cole Matthews went 4 for 4 with 3 doubles and a single

Matthews also turns a double play in the 7th to help seal the win.

Final: Bedford 11, Grandview Iowa 3
