(TAYLOR, MI.) - The Bedford 13 & 14-year old All-Star team that’s competing in the 2013 Junior League World Series will not play tonight after rain moved into Michigan today and doused the fields at Taylor’s Heritage Park.
Indiana was scheduled to meet Tennessee at 8 p.m., but JLWS officials weren't able to remove the tarp off the field until after 3 p.m. That means all of the early Monday's games were pushed back.
Officials were hoping to get in at least two games tonight. Massapequa, N.Y. would face Louisiana and South Moravia, Czech Republic would play Chinese Taipei.
It is still unclear when Bedford will play again, but it will probably be sometime tomorrow. Tuesday was going to be Bedford's day of rest, but because of the rain they will be on the field.
The Bedford All Stars are now scheduled to play this Tuesday at 2:45pm. Join 1340 AM WBIW and Super Oldies 105.5 FM for all of the action with Steven Gillespie on for the call.
