In the only contest played Monday, Louisiana improved to 2-0 with a 5-0 victory over New York. Tournament officials faced steady rain until about 2:30 p.m., when they removed the tarp and were able to get the field ready for New York-Louisiana game, but shortly after that game concluded a huge thunderstorm rolled in and ended any hope of continuing play.
The new schedule for Wednesday has Puerto Rico facing Chinese Taipei at 9 a.m.; Arizona against New York at noon; Puerto Rico meeting Czech Republic at 2:45 p.m.; Indiana facing Arizona at 5:30; and Tennessee meeting New York at 8:15 p.m..
Thursday's revised slate features Chinese Taipei against Curacao at 9 a.m.; Indiana versus New York at noon; Czech Republic against Curacao at 2:45 p.m.; Canada facing Chinese Taipei at 5:30 p.m.; and Louisiana against Arizona at 8:15 p.m..
The International vs. United States games start on Friday, with USA No.5 seed challenging International 5 seed in the opener. The No.4 seeds face off in the second consolation game, with the No.3 seeds to follow.
The top two seeds in the International bracket vie at 4 p.m., Friday, with the winner advancing to the world championship game. The top two U.S. seeds duel at 7 p.m., for the United States championship.
On Saturday, the U.S. and International second-place teams meet in the morning consolation, followed by the JLWS Home Run Derby.
The world championship game between the International and U.S. champions is scheduled for 2 p.m., followed by the awards presentation.
