Wonderlab Announces Matching Campaign For Exhibits

Last updated on Monday, July 8, 2013

(BLOOMINGTON) - The WonderLab Museum of Science, Health and Technology in Bloomington has announced a matching campaign to purchase the Giant Mechanical Hand, a popular science exhibit that was on display for a test period last summer, as well as to fund several new exhibits that will be created by the WonderLab Exhibits Team for an upcoming special exhibition.

The goal is to raise $15,000 by July 31. An anonymous donor will match every $20 contributed to the campaign by that date with another $10, up to a total match of $5,000.

"The Giant Mechanical Hand exhibit was a visitor favorite and an effective educational experience when it was on loan to the museum last summer," said Courtney Schmidt, WonderLab development director. "We would love to bring it back and add it to WonderLab's permanent collection."

Individuals who wish to participate in the 2013 Exhibit Matching Campaign may make a secure online donation by clicking on "Special Matching Campaign" on the homepage of the museum's website (wonderlab.org). If individuals prefer, they may make a donation at the museum's welcome desk or mail a check to WonderLab Museum, Attn: 2013 Exhibit Matching Campaign, 308 W. 4th St., Bloomington, IN 47404. For more information, contact Courtney Schmidt at 812-337-1337 ext. 14 or development@wonderlab.org.
