(BLOOMFIELD) - Two Bloomfield men were charged Tuesday with drug-related felonies involving possession of controlled substances, without a prescription.

The Greene County Daily World reports, 38-year-old Mark Bruce and 20-year-old Cory Roby were arrested last week by Bloomfield Lt. Marshal Jeremy Inman after an investigation that started during a routine traffic stop.

Inman was on patrol with Deputy Marshal Marvin Holt on July 15 when he saw a moped, without a taillight, southbound on Harrison Street. Inman says Roby was shaking uncontrollably when he was told the light wasn't working. Roby had a metal container hanging from the keys of the moped that he told police contained medicine he was prescribed and that his prescription bottles were at home.

Police went to the home and Roby's stepfather would not let officers in the home, but after talking to his wife finally decided to let officers enter.

Inman says officers found the controlled substance in the home and neither Bruce nor Roby had a valid prescription for the pills and the two were arrested.

Bruce was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance - all class D felonies and Roby was charged with one count of a possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Roby was charged with one count of possession of a Schedule I, II, III or IV controlled substance - a class D felony, and possession of marijuana.
