Possible Severe Weather Today

Last updated on Wednesday, July 10, 2013

(INDIANAPOLIS) - A storm system will push through Indiana on Wednesday, bringing a heightened chance of showers and thunderstorms, and some of the storms could be severe.

The National Weather Service says there is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms in most of Indiana.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to fire up across much of Indiana on Wednesday morning with a risk of large hail, damaging winds and heavy downpours.

Parts of central and southern Indiana are in a slight risk zone for severe weather, with high winds and large hail again the main threat.

After Wednesday's storms, a stretch of beautiful weather is expected in Indiana, with below normal highs in the low to mid 80s and sunny skies.
