Orleans Man Arrested After Firing Gun

(ORLEANS) - An Orleans man was arrested after police received a 911 call reporting he was firing a 12-gauge shotgun from inside his home.

Police received the 911 call at 5:37 p.m.

When Indiana State Police Trooper Craig Starr arrived at 101 North Oak Street the man was still firing the shotgun as police pulled up to the house.

After a brief standoff police arrested 31-year-old Justin Bush.

He was taken to Orange County Jail and preliminarily charged with criminal recklessness with a firearm a Class D felony.

Trooper Starr says no one was injured in the incident and no one else was inside the residence when the shots were fired.

Assisting Agencies include officers from the Orleans Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Office
