Man, Who Had Been Drinking, Injured After Crashing Mustang

(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was injured after he crashed his car on Pumphouse Road early Sunday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 20-year-old Adam Swartz was traveling south on Pumphouse Road and had entered a curve when he lost control of his 1994 Ford Mustang ran off the south side of the road and hit a tree causing the vehicle to over turn.

Swartz had a large contusion to his forehead, with swelling and redness to his left forearm ad was suffering pain to his right wrist and neck.

His passenger, who was not named in the accident reports, was not injured.

Swartz was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital.

Police stated Swartz did have the odor of alcohol on his breath and while at the hospital police requested a blood-alcohol test and are awaiting the results.
