Man Arrested After Crashing Car Into Mobile Home

(BEDFORD) - William Flener of Petersburg was arrested after leaving the scene of an injury accident Sunday in Washington.

According to police, Flener crashed the car he was driving on State Road 57 near the Oakwood trailer court when he went into the ditch, hit a mailbox, then ran through a storage building damaging a scooter and golf cart and then hit a carport knocking it into a mobile home.

After the vehicle stopped, Flener fled the scene on foot. His passenger David Parish, of Washington was injured and taken by a family member to the hospital.

Police found Flener being treated in the emergency room for cuts and bruises. He admitted he had been drinking and driving and crashed the car. He was charged with three counts related to leaving the scene of an accident.
