IU Student Season Tickets Sells Set Record

Last updated on Tuesday, July 23, 2013

(BLOOMINGTON) - According to Athletic Director of Ticket Operations Micheal Roberts, IU has sold its 10th highest annual total of student season tickets for the football and basketball season.

As a result, students who have purchased the plan will have access to only eight home men's basketball games this season

Because Assembly Hall can hold only approximately 8,000 students at a time -- and more than 8,000 have been sold -- IU chose to limit the amount of games students can attend to help distribute tickest as evenly as possible with the available seats available within Assembly Hall.

Roberts says it is unclear how many premiere games against high-profile opponents students will have access to, given the fact that so many tickets have been sold.

IU will rank the home games in order of prominence, and in turn reward students and groups based on Crimson Club points with tickets to the top home games. It will also institute a lottery so students with fewer points will get to go to important games.
