(BEDFORD) - Greg Flynn of Flynn & Sons Excavating & Paving, Larry Parsons of Stone Crest Golf Community, and attorney Greg Pittman addressed the commissioners regarding the roadways into the golf complex in the northern portion of the county.
The group sought to transfer the roads, with the exception of a lane in the immediate area of the clubhouse, over to the county. May said he thought the group had intended to keep the roads private.
Bob Dillon, county projects manager, said the gated community could pose problems for county highway crews.
Dave Smith, county attorney, advised the commissioners needed to make certain the roads posed no issue in regards to snow removal and access for school buses and ambulances before the county accepted the roads.
Flinn asked Dillon to examine the condition of the roads and report back on any potential problems.
