(BROWNSTOWN) - A 48-year-old man faces criminal charges related to a brief pursuit early Thursday morning in Brownstown.

According to a press release from the Brownstown Police Department, Willis Sparks, who lives in Hillview Trailer Court in Brownstown, was arrested Thursday on charges of resisting law enforcement in a vehicle and operating while intoxicated.

Sparks was arrested after a brief pursuit that began when Brownstown Officer John Reichenbacker and Reserve Officer David Drake attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Sparks at first refused to stop but later pulled into a lot at the mobile home park.
