Bloomington Man Arrested On Drug, Gun And Theft Charges

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police arrested a 29-year-old man on charges related to drugs, guns, vehicle theft, resisting law enforcement and warrants early on Sunday morning.

According to Bloomington Police Sgt. Lucas Tate, just after midnight on Sunday, officer were called to the intersection of Third Street and Kimble Drive after reports of a man changing a flat tire on a Jeep Wrangler.

When police arrived they found Nathan Goff, who was acting suspicious. When asked to identify himself he gave police two false names.

Officers asked him to stop changing the tire and he did, but then grabbed the tire iron again and when police told him to put it down he took off running.

Police chased Goff for several blocks until Goff tripped and fell. Officers ticketed him and before he could get up Goff started fighting with police. He was eventually arrested and placed in handcuffs.

Police found several bags of meth in Goff's pockets and more in the Jeep.

They also found a meth lab in the vehicle.

Police then discovered Goff was wanted on drug charges in Vigo County and the Jeep Goff was driving was stolen from Vigo County.

They also recovered two stolen guns.

Goff was arrested and charged on numerous drug charges and resisting arrest and the Vigo County warrant. His bond was set at $110,000.
