(BLOOMFIELD) - A dog named Princess is accused of biting a Bloomfield woman last month and the dog's owner has been ordered to pay restitution to the victim to the tune of $646.50.

40-year-old Eric Kirkman was charged in late June of harboring a non-immunized dog.

According to police on June 12th a woman called police to report she had been near Kirman's home when the mixed-breed dog attacked her.

The Greene County Daily World reports, the woman received a couple of bites that resulted in puncture marks and bleeding.

Inman determined the dog belonged to Kirkman. Kirkman told police the dog had been aggressive since she was a pup. Kirkman did ask about destroying the dog but Inman told him to wait due to the need to quarantine the dog for 10 days.

Kirkman alleged Princess was current on her shots, but according to the vet that was not true.

After the dog incident, Kirkman's probation officer filed a petition to revoke his suspended sentence in his conviction of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment.

The probation officer alleged that Kirkman had tested positive on June 4 and 13 for recent consumption of alcohol and on June 13, tested positive for meth and that he had failed to begin treatment at Hamilton Center as ordered.

A warrant was issued for Kirkman's arrest, he was booked into the Greene County Jail on June 28, and appeared in court earlier than expected in the case involving Princess.

As of Friday morning, Kirkman's been in jail for 21 days and he's got more to serve.

Judge Dena Martin revoked his suspended sentence and ordered him to serve the 90 days in jail but gave him credit for days already served. The State agreed to dismiss the dog bite case, but the judge ordered Kirkman to pay the $646.50 in restitution.
