Last updated on Tuesday, July 30, 2013

(BEDFORD) - A Bedord man was injured after he crashed his motorcycle on SandPit Road Monday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 21-year-old Matthew Flynn, of 1444 Sunny Acres Drive, was traveling west on SandPit Road when he lost control of his 2000 Honda VT1100 by over steering, causing the bike to fall on its side and slid off the north side of the road.

Flynn suffered minor bleeding to both elbows and his left knee.

Police say Flynn was wearing a helmet which prevented further injuries.

Flynn was treated at the scene by Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department first responders and an IU Health Hospital ambulance crew.
