(NEEDMORE) - The inaugural Bedford Blues & Brews is scheduled for Aug. 9 and 10 near Salt Creek Brewery in Needmore.
Five bands will compete in a Battle of the Blues Friday, Aug. 9 from 6-11 p.m. The aspiring contenders include Fistful of Bacon, Soul Stricken, King Bee and the Stingers, Pass the Peas, and Dame's Rocket.
The band collecting the greatest dollar amount of donations to Blue Star Connection earns the privilege of joining a Saturday lineup that features Kilborn Alley, Travis Feaster, The Jon Strahl Band, and Sad Sam Blues Jam.
Blue Star Connection is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing music into the lives of children and young adults who are fighting cancer and facing other life-challenging situations
The August 10th program begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 and available at the Brewery.
