Two Injured After Car Collides With Amish Buggy

(ORLEANS) -Two Mitchell teens were injured their buggy was struck from behind by a vehicle near Mount Horeb Road.

19-year-old Johnny Miller and 18-year-old Anna Miller both suffered injuries and were taken to IU Health Hospital. Police say Johnny Miller suffered serious injuries. No update was available on their conditions.

According to an Orange County Sheriff's Department press release at 9:07 p.m. the Orange County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call reporting a vehicle had struck an Amish buggy and there were two people injured.

Deputies and Indiana State Police troopers, along with the Orange County Rural District II Fire Department, responded to the scene.

According to police, 19-year-old Logan Farler, of Campbellsburg, was traveling north on County Road 200Wt in a 2002 Buick Rendezvous at a high rate of speed when he collided with the Amish buggy.

Farler, who was not injured, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated under a controlled substance.

Police say the accident is still under investigation.
