(UNDATED) - The threat of severe weather is again setting up across Indiana for today and Wednesday.
A strong storm system to the west of Indiana will sweep through the region, bringing the possibility of several rounds of thunderstorms that could pack damaging winds, large hail and the potential for tornadoes.
The storm threat is expected to be highest on Wednesday, but severe storms are also possible on today.
The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center placed the northern two-thirds of Indiana in a slight risk zone for severe weather on Tuesday.
The severe weather threat area on today runs along a north of a line from Vincennes to Cincinnati.
The biggest threat from today's storms will be damaging winds, with a fast-moving line of storms expected to form and move through the northern half of the state.
The severe weather threat will be more widespread on Wednesday. An extremely unstable air mass is expected to be in place in Indiana, bringing waves of showers and thunderstorms.
Wednesday's storms will carry a damaging wind, large hail and tornado risk. The entire state of Indiana is in a slight risk area for severe weather, but it's possible that parts of that risk zone may be upgraded.
The weather pattern will begin calming down on Thursday, and temperatures will drop a bit, too.
