Springville Man Crashes Car After Hitting Gas Instead Of Break

Last updated on Tuesday, June 4, 2013

(SPRINGVILLE) - A Springville man was injured after hitting a tree Friday night.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 41-year-old Danny Myers, was traveling south on Harrodsburg Road near Camelot Lane when his 1998 Audi was forced off the road when another vehicle crossed the center line.

Myers told police he veered to the right to avoid a crash and that is when he placed his foot on the gas instead of the break and slid off the roadway on the west side of the road and hit two trees. The vehicle then went off the east side of the roadway coming to a stop.

Myers suffered a small cut to his finger, but refused medical treatment at the scene.
