New Jobs Coming To Washington

(WASHINGTON) - The Washington City Council voted to give tax abatements to a new industry that will bring new jobs to the city.

Daviess County Economic Development Director, Ron Arnold, told the Council that Alliance Barrier Films plans to open with one production line but is building the factory to accommodate expansion to four lines in the near future.

On a motion by Councilman Mike Singleton, the Council voted to approve a graduated10-year abatement on real property, and a 5-year graduated abatement on machinery
