(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested after she came home drunk Friday night and got into a physical fight with her 21-year-old daughter.

Bedford Police officers arrested 41-year-old Deann Perry on charges of battery and strangulation and consuming alcohol while on parole. Parsley says other charges could be pending from the parole board.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley officers were called to 1007 23rd Street at 10:52 p.m. about a fight in the back yard.

When officers arrived, the daughter told police her mother came home intoxicated and began calling her names.

The fight turned physical and that is when the mother attempted to strangle the daughter.

The daughter was not seriously injured during the fight.
